Operation Christmas Child sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations all around the world. During the months of November and December, millions of gift-filled show boxes are gathered for distribution to hurting children around the world. Operation Christmas Child is a project that Harmony has participated in for the past several years. This year the collection week is November 13-18. All you have to do is fill a shoe box with some toys and drop it off at the church and you can make a difference in the life of a child who lives halfway across the world. For details about how to fill a box, click on the link above or to the left.
The above pictures are from a Short Term Trip this summer. Members from Harmony were able to give out some of the shoe boxes collected by Samaritan's Purse through this project.
Each year Harmony participates in a fundraiser for the AA Pregnancy Help Center. On Mother's Day baby bottles are distributed to the congregation. Members collect money and return the bottles on Father's Day. All money raised is used to support the center's ministry.
Harmony seeks to be involved in helping the community. To this end, several groups have worked with our local Habitat for Humanity to build houses for those in the Georgetown area.
